The Dark Side of Ambition

In my quest for control
I have let down those around me.
She will not be vanquished.
Her black fire will not be extinguished.

I need her drive and passion
It will lead to a better life.
She will have none of my morals, though.
Her darkness will not let go.

I need ambition for an accomplished life
If I want to find satisfaction from living.
She knows how to achieve my goals.
Her heart is full of coals.
